I was born at UCLA Hospital and grew up in Southern California with my parents and three siblings (two sisters and one brother). At the completion of my freshman year, we made our move to Santa Rosa. I started the first day of high school at Santa Rosa High on my birthday. It was during this time in high school that I pursued my long time love and interest in children and childcare. I took an R.O.P course in childcare, and volunteered my time at daycare centers in the area, which led me to my first paid job at Discoveries Day Care.
I came to BCNS a year after graduating from high school. I was hired as an aide and liked it so much that I started taking early childhood development classes at the Santa Rosa Junior College. The following year I was promoted to teachers assistant and a few years later completed my goal of becoming a teacher. I earned my degree in early childhood education from the SRJC.
In addition to my devotion to BCNS, I have a very busy career at home as a wife and mother. I'm married to Tim, who is a licensed contractor, we have two boys Michael and CJ. And don't forget my dog Bear. Both of our sons are BCNS alumni! When it comes to my family, we are very active in baseball (I'm the scorekeeper and have quite the reputation), hunting and in the summer we really enjoy spending time at Lake Shasta on our houseboat. My other interests include scrapbooking, reading books on my Kindle, and get away once or twice a year with close friends.
