I was born and raised in Santa Rosa. I attended Slater Jr. High and Montgomery High School. I earned my AA at Santa Rosa Junior College before transferring to San Diego State University where I earned my BS in Child Development. I have a Post-Graduate Certificate in Infant-Parent Mental Health from the University of Massachusetts, Boston.
After college, I moved back to Santa Rosa and started my job as an Early Interventionist. I worked mainly with children with Autism implementing home programs. It was during this time (2000) that I first came to BCNS as an Aide to one of these children. I loved the environment and knew when I had my own children I would return as a parent and eventually as a substitute teacher. After years of substituting, I came on staff in 2012 and am so happy to be working with such an amazing group of women.
In addition to my work at BCNS, I'm still involved in the Infant-Parent Mental Health Program and continue to enjoy learning and being inspired by those in the program. I'm also a Fine Arts Day Art Docent for the Rincon Valley School District. I'm married to Ryan (1999) and we have two children, Justin and Julia. Together we spend time camping year round, bike riding, swimming, and spending time with family and friends. I also enjoy tackling home improvement projects, gardening and reading.
